Part of our Prostate 911 overview. Last checked October 27, 2026.
How to take Prostate 911 is set by one line on the label: "adults take two capsules daily"[1]. Each bottle holds 60 capsules, or 30 servings, so one bottle covers 30 days. The label says nothing about meals, time of day or how long to continue, so the rest of this guide marks clearly which points come from sources and which are our inference.
How do you take Prostate 911?
Swallow two capsules once a day. That is the full vendor instruction on the Supplement Facts label, which lists a serving size of 2 capsules and 30 servings per container[1].
What the label does not say:
- whether to take both capsules together or split them
- whether to take them with food
- a maximum length of use
- any warning about medicines, pregnancy or surgery
The vendor FAQ adds that you should feel effects "within 7 days" and suggests a trial of "at least 90 days for best results"[2]. Neither claim has a source, and no trial of Prostate 911 exists. Our does Prostate 911 work guide covers what the ingredient studies do show.
What is the right dose and timing?
The label dose is two capsules a day, and there is no evidence that more helps. Do not double up: in the CAMUS trial, tripling saw palmetto to 960 mg a day did no better than placebo[3].
With or without food
The label is silent. Taking the capsules with a meal is our inference from two ingredient points. Plant sterol trials mostly gave sterols with meals[4]. Green tea extract liver problems were worse with bolus doses on an empty stomach[5], and Prostate 911 contains 50 mg of green tea extract.
Consistency
Take it at the same time each day so you can judge it fairly. Ingredient trials ran for weeks, not days: 4 to 26 weeks for beta-sitosterol[6]. A missed dose needs no make-up dose; take the next one as normal (our inference, the label gives no rule).
How long to keep going
Uva ursi in the blend was only studied in 5-day courses[7]. That sits badly with a 90-day plan. Ask your doctor before taking Prostate 911 for months.
How long does one bottle last?
One bottle lasts 30 days at two capsules a day. The vendor sells 1, 2 or 4 bottles, with no 3 or 6 bottle option. Prices below are from the vendor price grid, checked October 27, 2026; shipping is shown at checkout.
| Package | Capsules | Days at 2 a day | Price (checked October 27, 2026) | Cost per day |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 bottle | 60 | 30 | $69.95 | $2.33 |
| 2 bottles | 120 | 60 | $119.90 | $2.00 |
| 4 bottles | 240 | 120 | $199.80 | $1.67 |
A single bottle is enough to see how you tolerate it. Our Prostate 911 price and coupon guide covers the refund terms and upsells.
What should you avoid while taking it?
Avoid starting it alongside new prescription drugs or other prostate products without a pharmacist's check. The main points:
- Drugs cleared by CYP3A or CYP2D6. Goldenseal in the blend inhibited these liver enzymes in human studies, at much higher doses than Prostate 911 can contain[8]. Examples include some statins, calcium channel blockers, antidepressants, codeine, tramadol and tamoxifen.
- Other prostate supplements. Stacking saw palmetto or plant sterol products adds cost, not proven benefit.
- Multivitamins. Prostate 911 already gives 140 mcg selenium, 10 mg zinc and 3.33 mg vitamin B6. EFSA set a 12 mg adult limit for B6[9].
- Caffeine-heavy products. The 50 mg green tea extract contains some caffeine; NCCIH notes green tea extract can raise blood pressure[5].
- Detox teas and heavy fluid loading. Severe low blood sodium followed a uva ursi detox tea taken with large amounts of fluid[10].
- Cold medicines. NIDDK says decongestants and antihistamines can worsen BPH symptoms[11].
The full list is on our Prostate 911 safety and interactions guide.
How do you track whether it is doing anything?
Keep a simple log before you start and every two weeks after. Urinary symptoms change from week to week on their own, and in the saw palmetto trials the placebo groups improved too[3].
| What to log | How |
|---|---|
| Night-time trips to urinate | Count per night, average over a week |
| Stream strength and urgency | Rate 0 to 5 each week |
| Symptom score | Ask your doctor for the IPSS questionnaire (a 0 to 35 scale) and fill it in monthly |
| Side effects | Stomach upset, headache, dizziness, rash, dates started |
| Medicines and supplements | Any change, with the date |
Bring the log to your doctor. PSA is not a useful tracker here, since saw palmetto does not change it[12].
When should you stop and talk to a doctor?
Stop and call a doctor if any new symptom appears after starting, such as stomach upset that does not settle, dizziness or a rash. See a doctor right away if you:
- have trouble urinating or cannot urinate at all
- see blood in your urine
- have fever or chills with painful, urgent urination
- have severe lower belly pain[11]
Fever with flank pain can signal a kidney infection, which needs antibiotics, not herbs[7]. Never stop prescribed BPH medicine on your own.

Frequently asked questions
Should I take Prostate 911 in the morning or at night?
The label gives no time of day, only two capsules daily. Pick one time you can keep every day. Taking it with a meal is our suggestion, based on how plant sterols were studied and green tea extract liver reports, not a vendor rule.
Can I take more than two Prostate 911 capsules a day?
No. The label serving is two capsules. In the CAMUS trial, saw palmetto at up to 960 mg a day did no better than placebo, and extra capsules would also raise your intake of goldenseal, uva ursi and selenium.
How many capsules are in a bottle of Prostate 911?
Sixty capsules, or 30 servings of two. One bottle lasts 30 days, two bottles 60 days and four bottles 120 days. On October 27, 2026 the vendor listed one bottle at $69.95, about $2.33 a day.
Can I take Prostate 911 long term?
No study covers long-term use of Prostate 911. Its uva ursi was tested only in 5-day courses, and eye damage was reported after 3 years of uva ursi use. Ask your doctor before taking it for months.
What happens if I miss a dose of Prostate 911?
The label gives no rule. Our suggestion is to skip the missed dose and take the next two capsules at your usual time, rather than doubling up. One missed day is unlikely to matter for a supplement with no proven effect.
